In an era where it is too easy to be cynical and dismissive, we
fail give many things the attention they deserve. Homeopathy has
increased the well-being of many people, and still deserves our
serious consideration.
Hornbeck on Homeopathy
With 10:23 -- the anti-homeopathy campaign -- just around the
corner, I shall now teach you how to make homeopathic medicine.
Homeopathic remedies: What are they good for?
So the question remains does homeopathy work? In all of my
research in preparation for this article, I was unable to find
any blinded, controlled clinical trials that support the claims
of homeopathy.
Don't swallow everything: Alternative medicine
Why is homeopathy "utter nonsense"? What about ear candling? And
does ginger really help prevent motion sickness? Chemistry
professor and author Joe Schwarcz, PhD, answers these questions
and more in his latest books.
Homeopathy Conference
The IHMA invites all interested in expanding their homeopathic
knowledge and skill to participate in a weekend of interactive
sessions. This year's conference will feature Belgian author,
teacher and creator of Synthesis, Dr. Frederik Schroyens.
Dengue and Homoeo-Prophylaxis
It is so incomprehensible as to why the health authorities are
turning a blind eye when there is in homoeopathy an effective
way to prevent dengue from making thousands ill and hundreds
dead! It is so very incomprehensible!
Science cannot explain everything
There is a similar strange occurrence to homeopathy in enzyme
chemistry where an effectively non-existent material still has a
major effect; enzymes prepared in buffers of known pH retain
remember those specific pH-dependent kinetic properties even
when effectively dry; these molecules seemingly having an effect
in their absence somewhat against common sense at the simplistic
level.
A word to the wise
I have seen naturopathic columns in newspapers where people are
told a woman with postnatal depression should use homeopathy.
The fact that people are told homeopathy is a replacement for
immunisation is terrible.
New-age error on vaccines - the perils of homeopathy
Almost one in four Australians think natural homeopathic
remedies are an adequate substitute for vaccines, despite 94 per
cent of people agreeing conventional immunisation is an
effective way of preventing the spread of disease.
