Wells WI members enjoy soothing meeting

Welcoming an opportunity to unwind after the Easter break,
members of the Wells WI gathered at the Wells and Mendip Museum
this month to enjoy a holistic and relaxation-themed evening,
with a Tai-chi session led by local Tai-chi and Qigong
instructor Mark Pogson and a demonstration of homeopathic
medicine by registered homeopath Naomi Cavender of The Wells
Remedy Centre.

Homeopathy Is 'Dangerous and Wasteful,' Bioethics Expert Argues

A bioethics expert from the University of Abertay Dundee has
denounced the public funding of homeopathy at a time where
Scotland's health budget is under unprecedented pressure.
Writing in the journal Bioethics, Dr Kevin Smith says that
Homeopathy is 'ethically unacceptable' and should be 'actively
rejected' by healthcare and education providers.
