I know this is just part of a FYI list of topics to read, but I have one way this might be handled in future:

Cats can detect a remedy and whether it is a new potency since the last dose.
They will fight against being given a wrong remedy - and also against a dose that is offered too soon for them. Given two potencies they will also choose the one they need.

If you offer them two remedies - one being their matched remedy - they know which it is and will not take the other one.

So this proves at the very least, that there IS a way to detect which remedy is which - and cats know how to do it.
So to solve the above no-label dilemma, all we need to do is train cats to tell use which is which:-)

[Lest you think cats can not be trained, not true: Cats can be trained to do anything they think is in their interests.]

Now if we went ahead and did this - would it not be fun to assemble some skeptics as audience, with cushions on the floor in front of them?
(to catch the dropped jaws - if you feel that kindness is warranted)

Namaste,
Irene
