There's no personal view of homeopathy involved in this discussion. The definition of homeopathy was made by Hahnemann - not by you, me, John, a mixologist, a homeopath, or anyone else.
Stealing the definition as made by Hahnemann, to use elsewhere, is not defensible by pretending the defender is "espousing a personal view".

No offense to John - but his view is not at issue here.
Homeopathy was not defined by him but by Hahnemann.
Stay with the topic! Hahnemann defined homeopathy and it is not applicable to mixology.

John is defending Hahenmann's definition of Hahenemnn's work as defined by Hahnemann:-)
There's no debate needed about that.
Trying to pretend otherwise to try to excuse the misuse of the word, is not going to work here.

It already is on that pedestal. That's exactly why mixologists want to steal it - to share the glory without it being earned or deserved or applicable.
If Homeopathy was not on such a pedestal due to being effective in places where no other system works, then it would not be so hotly desired by mixologists in the first place.
It's that pedestal reputation that mixologists want to take and use to make money. There's actually no other reason to steal the name, than that is IS seen as being on a pedestal :-)

What's impotant is honesty.
If allopathy heals call it allopathy.
If a herb heals, call it herbology.
If homeopathy heals call it homeopathy.
If mixology heals, find a name for that or call it miology - but don't use the name of another system.

Irene
